Gift of Knox Patron Leads Backstage Enhancements
The Board of Directors was pleased to realize a long planned backstage enhancement project that benefits the students at AHS and the visiting artists of Knox Concert Series. With a generous gift from Knox patron Libba Moore and her late husband, Art Moore, a grant from The Stringfellow Foundation matched by Knox funds, and in collaboration with Anniston City School Board facilities planning, the artist dressing rooms and the boys’ locker room and showers were updated. These areas, primarily used for basketball tournaments, are also used when Knox and other groups renting the hall host large ensembles.

The Knox Board of Directors hosted a “reveal” reception for the members of the Anniston School Board, Community Foundation, Anniston City Council and Calhoun County Commission. The group toured the newly renovated areas and toasted the accomplishments that benefit the school and community in so many ways.
